The 20
th Annual
Amazon Prep Kickoff Classic (APKC) Aug. 28-29 at Tom Adams Field on the campus of Wayne State University will be broadcast LIVE by the
State Champs Network and available for viewing on
MHSAA.TV and
Local 4+ in partnership with the NFHS Network.
All four games of the APKC, the premier season-opening high school football showcase in Michigan, will air on MHSAA.TV and feature play-by-play from veteran local broadcaster Sean Baligian and color analysis from former Birmingham Brother Rice and University of Michigan wide receiver Grant Perry.
In addition to the television broadcast, the opening night match-up at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28 between Lake Orion and Northville will be broadcast live on
WJR 760 am and
SportCaster featuring play-by-play and color analysis from a team of local high school students.
Tickets for the Amazon Prep Kickoff Classic can be purchased at
www.detroitsports.org/pkctickets and offer an excellent value for fans with each ticket providing admission for both games on the day of the ticket purchased. In addition, a portion of ticket proceeds benefits the participating schools. Fans will be required to bring their electronic device to activate the ticket at the gate.
The 2025 Amazon Prep Kickoff Classic will take place over two days leading into Labor Day weekend, featuring four marquee matchups:
Thursday, Aug. 28
4 p.m. – A rematch of last year's PKC thriller: Belleville vs. Clarkston
7 p.m. – A battle between two schools from the inaugural 2005 PKC: Lake Orion vs. Northville
Friday, Aug. 29
4 p.m. – A Downriver rivalry game: Allen Park vs. Trenton
7 p.m. – A PKC staple showdown: Detroit Cass Tech vs. Toledo Central Catholic (OH)
