As the home of cars, culture, gaming, music and sports, you’ll be wowed by America’s great comeback city — its stories, its people and its excitement.
Here’s a little bit of what you can expect from Detroit:
Cars: We helped put the world on wheels and detail our car culture through attractions like The Henry Ford, where visitors can witness the passion and inventions of Henry Ford, Thomas Edison and other famous innovators.
Culture: Our cultural institutions are internationally renowned havens for art and music masterpieces. Take, for instance, the Fox Theatre, a 1928 movie palace that now welcomes some of the biggest names in entertainment.
Gaming: Downtown Detroit houses three Vegas-style casinos — Greektown Casino, MGM Grand Detroit and MotorCity Casino — where you can unwind, dine and get excited about the chance of winning big.
Music: Detroit has a stamp on music genres like Motown, gospel and techno. Our events will bring you impressive live music performances, so you can get a taste of our tunes.
Sports: We’ve got the Lions, Tigers, Red Wings and Pistons. With three of our four championship sports teams’ downtown, it’s easy to catch a game and the contagious spirit of Detroiters as they root for the home team.
