Nate Miller is a seasoned sports and event operations professional with over 20 years of experience in strategic planning, event management, and community engagement. As an Event Specialist with the Detroit Sports Commission, he plays a pivotal role in planning, marketing, and executing large-scale sporting events that showcase Detroit as a premier sports destination.
Prior to joining the DSC, Nathan served as Assistant Athletic Director for Operations & External Events at Eastern Michigan University, where he led facility operations, managed championship events, and grew rental revenues through strategic partnerships and process innovation.
A natural connector and hands-on leader, Nathan specializes in volunteer coordination, grassroots marketing, and cross-functional collaboration—skills that have earned him recognition, including the President’s Award for his contributions to the 2024 NFL Draft.
He holds both a B.A. in Business Administration and an M.S. in Sport Management from Eastern Michigan University and continues to champion Detroit’s sports culture through thoughtful event execution and community impact.
Nate is a proud Southgate Anderson and Eastern Michigan University alumnus and now calls Allen Park home, where he lives with his wife, Ashley, and their three children Jack, Josie, and Maci.
