For Andrew Spiewak, sports have always been more than games — they’ve been the foundation for growth, teamwork, and community. As Business Development Coordinator for the Detroit Sports Commission, Andrew helps bring major sporting events to life across the city and showcase Detroit as one of the most passionate sports destinations in the country.
Andrew’s journey has taken him through nearly every level of sport — from youth and collegiate athletics to the professional and national stages. He’s worked behind the scenes with the United States Soccer Federation, supported matchday operations with Detroit City FC, and even helped execute some of Detroit’s biggest events, including the 2024 NFL Draft, NCAA Sweet 16, and NCAA Women’s Bowling Championship.
A proud University of Michigan graduate, Andrew studied Sport Management and quickly found his calling in connecting people to the power of sport. His goal is to continue building relationships, developing future events, and creating experiences that reflect the heart and resilience of Detroit.
When he’s not working on the next big event, you can usually find Andrew at a local match, boxing gym, or on the sidelines — always chasing that next moment of competition and community.
