Elizabeth Park sits like an emerald jewel along the banks of the Detroit River, and features over 1,300 feet of riverwalk for fishing and river watching. It is a county-owned public park in southeast Wayne County, recognized as the first county park established in Michigan. In addition, Elizabeth Park also offers activities such as softball, cycling, in-line skating, hiking, cross country skiing, and ice skating. There are two picnic shelters, one ball diamond and two picnic areas available for rental located at this park.
A 52-slip transient marina and boat launch are also located along the shoreline of this picturesque park. For more information on the marina, please visit www.elizabethparkmarina.com. The marina is located across from island of Grosse Ile and provides easy access up and down the Detroit River. It’s a great place to stop between Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair. Elizabeth Park Marina and Boat Launch provides four launching and four loading wells and a 52-slip mooring facility. The facility has utility hookup, pump station and new shower facility. This award-winning transient marina was built in 1993 through an Urban Waterways Grant.
