2010 NCAA® Frozen Four® Teams to Feature Local Players
The pairings are set for the 2010 NCAA Men’s Frozen Four to be held April 8-10 at Detroit’s Ford Field before a record-breaking crowd of more than 30,000. The co-hosts for this prestigious NCAA Championship event are Detroit Sports and the Central Collegiate Hockey Association.
In the 5 p.m. semi-final match-up on Thursday, April 8, from the East Regional, the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Tigers, will face-off against the winner of the West Regional, the University of Wisconsin Badgers. The Tigers are led by forward Cameron Burt from Detroit’s Communication & Media Arts High School. The Badgers feature defenseman Brendan Smith, a 2nd round draft choice of the Detroit Red Wings.

Locals to Compete in Friday Night at the Frozen Four® Friday, April 9 at Ford Field
The NCAA® Frozen Four Skills Challenge features top male and female college hockey student-athletes from across the nation in an East versus West skills competition which includes puck control relay, hardest shot, fastest skater, rapid-fire shooting, accuracy shooting and penalty shots.
The men's East squad include: Sean Backman, Yale; Bobby Butler, New Hampshire; Owen Meyer, Army; Neil Musselwhite, Oswego State; Ben Smith, Boston College and Brandon Wong, Quinnipiac. The two goalies are: Jared DeMichiel, RIT and Ben Scrivens, Cornell.

Frozen Four Promo Vehicle Hits the Road
The Frozen Four promotional vehicle has been on the road since late January with CCHA campus stops ranging from Michigan’s Upper Pennisula for Northern Michigan University and Lake Superior State University games, to Madison, WI, for a heavily-promoted outdoor game between the University of Michigan and the University of Wisconsin at Camp Randall Stadium before more than 60,000 fans.

Fan Gathering Restaurants to Welcome 2010 NCAA Men's Frozen Four Visitors and Locals
The Detroit Local Organizing Committee (DLOC) for the 2010 NCAA® Men’s Frozen Four® today announced the Frozen Four® Fan Gathering Restaurants that will serve as home base for fans of the four teams who will compete in Detroit for the championship of Division I college hockey.
The following restaurants will adopt fans from each of the Frozen Four teams during the championship week in Detroit co-hosted by Detroit Sports and the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA). Specific designation of Frozen Four teams by region to restaurants, and special events to take place at the restaurants will be announced in the coming weeks. The DLOC urges fans to make these establishments your headquarters to meet old friends, new friends and fellow alumni.
