DETROIT SPORTS AND MICHIGAN AAU TO HOST
MAJOR NATIONAL YOUTH BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT IN MACOMB CTY.


DETROIT (July 19, 2010) Detroit Sports and the Michigan AAU District will host more than 500 age-group boy’s basketball players in the 2010 AAU Boy’s Basketball U10 D1 National Championship beginning today through July 23 in Macomb County.

GAME MATCH-UPS ANNOUNCED FOR 2010 BIG DAY PREP SHOWDOWN

OPENING-WEEK HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL SHOWCASE TO CELEBRATE 6TH YEAR WITH SEVEN GAMES IN THREE DAYS

DETROIT (April 23, 2010) – Detroit Sports announced today the game match-ups for the Big Day Prep Showdown (BDPS) VI to be held Aug. 26-28, at Eastern Michigan University’s Rynearson Stadium.   Since its inception in 2005, the Big Day Prep Showdown has been the premier opening-week high school football event in the state of Michigan, and in 2008 was named the Outstanding Locally Created Event by the National Association of Sports Commissions.

 FAN GATHERING RESTAURANTS TO WELCOME

2010 NCAA® MEN’S FROZEN FOUR® VISITORS AND LOCALS

DETROIT (Feb., 17, 2010) -- The Detroit Local Organizing Committee (DLOC) for the 2010 NCAA® Men’s Frozen Four® today announced the Frozen Four® Fan Gathering Restaurants that will serve as home base for fans of the four teams who will compete in Detroit for the championship of Division I college hockey.

The following restaurants will adopt fans from each of the Frozen Four teams during the championship week in Detroit.  Specific designation of Frozen Four teams by region to restaurants, and special events to take place at the restaurants will be announced in the coming weeks. The DLOC urges fans to make these establishments your headquarters to meet old friends, new friends and fellow alumni.
